While I don’t think there are very good odds Williams is a monster, there are pretty good odds that at least one of Ferrari, McLaren, or Red Bull absolutely nail this next car right off the bat the way Merc did with the V6 era.

Even though they have obviously been working on EV’s for awhile now, I don’t think they stick with hydrogen for as long as they have at the econobox-box level without some belief that it’s going to be an actual competitor to EV’s in the future. It became a apparent that that would not be the case awhile ago, yet here

I’d actually hazard that if we tried to rank the worst groups of car culture, the top spot would be a deathmatch between anyone who streetraces on a regular basis and lifted truck bros. A big reason for that being that a lot of truck guys aren’t in it for the passion, but for the sake of trying to appear ALPHA AS FUCKK

To be fair, the trucks also elicit an emotional response from the sort of goddam wieners who find driving a Super Duty truck to be some sort of validation of their masculinity. I work in a cube next to a person of this nature and... yeah, talk about a goddam wiener.

1st: I don’t blame Toyota for trying to die on the hill of Hydrogen (and they haven’t totally given up yet) in lieu of BEV’s.

but one kaboomed tranny will likely exceed the price of entry to get this back on the road.

OOOF, good point. The last thing the market needed was thousands of cars to get totaled overnight.

Hey now, Naruto seems to be turning out alright. And at least Morty Jr. is an accomplished author.

My intuition says this is still going to be a big car buying weekend anyway, just because people would much rather believe things are the same as ever when they, y’know, aren’t.

Right, this is the inherent flaw that so many different things are SUV’s now. Gotta love how in the eyes of the government, A suburban and an Ecosport are the same “type” of car.

Was going to recommend the Ford Flex, but checked and apparently the mileage is no better than a damn Suburban. If they had ever made a hybrid one of those, it would of ruled and been perfect for this.

I don’t remember last year being as bad is this year, at least here in Chicago. I mean, normally these spurts happen where it’s around 90 and the humidity puts the heat index at like 105 for a few days, but then a squall happens and things go back to normal. This entire August has been like this though. Freaking

Not “ruined” but not taking as good a care of as I had hoped. I’ve DD’d a Mustang GT since Spring of ‘19 (I’ve had a work truck I’ve bummed when weather required) and while I bought the car to drive it, I’ve unexpectedly given it a hard life. Even though I moved to an office based job, I still do a fair bit of driving

Hell yeah, appreciate the hell out of more DT wrenching articles as always. Hope the Mustang gets straightened out. Naturally I wouldn’t expect and update on the subject until after it’s fixed for the wedding *fist bump*

This was I80 out by Aurora. luv 2 pay $8 in tolls to get nonsense tickets

There’s been a thread on the S550 Mustang forums since mid-April arguing about climate change. Every few weeks I open it just to drop in to say “everyone still arguing in here is a moron” and then ignore it.

Indeed. Corruption will forever be a function of time and population size.

Same! I once went by one doing 90 on 90 coming back in from Rockford way out in Gilberts/Elgin. With how huge that interstate is, it’s impossible to not do 80 or higher, which is why he probably didn’t even bother.

Neutral: I once got a ticket for “following too closely” from an IL State Trooper because some idiot doing 80 tried to use the center lane as a passing lane, saw the police officer on the median 1/4 mile away, brake checked down to 60 right in front of me, so I drove by the cop right on the guys back bumper.

I mean, would having a general election for leadership actually change anything? Does anyone remotely trust ANY executive level leadership in the UAW to be acting in good faith? An election for a job where everyone lining up for it is full of shit  is not going to change anything, no matter how many people get to
