The AP Stylebook announced at a copy editors’ conference that it’s necessary to call something or someone racist, instead of all that harmful “racially charged” or “racially tinged” or language. It’s a step in the right direction, considering all the hemming and hawing how-do-you-know-his-heart bullshit.
