Didn't sound like he set the bridge on fire to me. If he called up HBO tomorrow and said he's changed his mind, they'd clearly have in back in a heartbeat.

In terms of US releases, Dexy's Midnight Runners' "Come On Eileen" must surely qualify. They did have another no.1 single in the UK ("Gino") but it never charted in the US.

Don't know his music, but the way I remember it, David Essex was always way cooler than Neil Diamond ever was…

Don't know why. Jealousy? Seems innocuous enough.

Just finished listening to Ed Sheeran's Glastonbury set. Not really my cup of tea, but no doubting his musicianship and how much the crowd enjoyed his music.

Do you even believe you're own BS?

Noah Hawley on a season four:

That final five minutes perfectly encapsulated my experience of those final five minutes before the first polls closed on election night, 2016. Two very different trajectories were possible then too…

By the way, just in case Noah is watching, if he still needs inspiration for a season four, he should look into the case of Gordon Wendell Kahl, a far-right anti-government tax protester who, in the mid-80's ended up in two fatal shootouts with law enforcement, one of them in Wells County, North Dakota.

Keep on believing that… :)

I find it implausible that anyone would want to work with someone like Varga

Great, wasn't it?

They were in a large building with all kinds of places to hole up in. Not the wisest decision to remain at the scene of a mass shooting any longer than necessary.

Beg to differ, quite strongly. Also, it's not FX saying there shouldn't be another series, it's Hawley himself who stated that he would only make another season if he can come up with an idea as strong as those for the first three season. FX would be thrilled to make another season of their critically acclaimed

Saw it coming, but loved the ending, and I have enjoyed the ride this season, even if it didn't quite match the heights of last year.

Well, Varga is a member of the 1%…

Oh, I'm sure they have been told many times, but if the bulk of your audience doesn't notice, then it's too useful a plot device to discard. There were probably a dozen similarly "egregious" technical errors in that episode that you didn't notice because you're technical knowledge doesn't fall within those domains.

Well, she lost Varga, so the only move left to her was to go after Emmit.

Actually, a lesser show would have thrown in that scene to hit people over the head with it. Fargo has the confidence to assume that the audience is perfectly capable of filling in that gap for themselves.

There has to be more to it than that. It's not like Hollywood to turn down an opportunity to make bank from a sequel that could turn into a full-fledged franchise.
