It's been a lot of work. A LOT of work. And I'm worried all the time for his future. But he is the best thing that has ever happened to us. Absolute best fucking thing. Wouldn't trade any of the work, worry, or tears for a 'neuro-typical' child ever.
I should add that he wasn't born addicted - she was smart enough to not use regularly in her third trimester and not at all right before he was born. He was her second child - first one was removed due to neglect.
