Wow... reading the comments on this makes me really angry and sad. People attack Glenn Brown furiously just because of the fact that he copied someone else's work (it's done a lot in the art world, and it used to be a thing before the copying machines) and someone else paid a lot of money for his works. Like someone

I'm a little disappointed in CJA for jumping on this bandwagon. There's nothing wrong with what the guy is doing. Is it bizarre that he's been so successful doing it? Absolutely. Conceptually though, it's not that complicated, and it's not cashing in on someone else's work. I sincerely doubt Brown went into it

I do encourage you all to look at his other work. He painted the "copies" quite early on in his career and most of what he'a done since is loosely based on (mostly) classic religious paintings/iconography in much more free form ways. It's pretty amazing and almost always beautifully sci fi.

Exactly. He'd be a plagiarist if he was falsely claiming other peoples' work as his own. He is not, as he is transparent as to the source of this compositions and explicitly describes himself as being an appropriation artist. However, that doesn't mean his art is especially imaginative or interesting, or that his

I'm pretty sure painters have done that before. Anyone actually been to a Modern Art exhibit? That sort of questioning is sort of de rigeur.

And then Internet wades in to explain why this can't be true. Idiots. No point in arguing with them, I'll leave that to others.

As a cricket leg spinner growing up I always assumed I'd be a knuckleballer of I was a baseball pitcher. The difficulty coupled with the high reward always made me think how similar they were as a skill.

Because I don't want to die. We get one life, I'd like to make it as long as possible before I decay into nothingness in a hole in the ground.

THIS PART:

Was I the only one pissed off there wasn't a Blu-ray release date at the end of this video?

Air Guitar! NICE!

Don't mind if I do:

"channel surf" .... yeah, fits Generation Multi-task.

You never go full AI.

And you know what? I wouldn't mind a nice cheesy, pulpy flick about the Singularity apocalypse.

Yeah, facts are what do it for me.

Someone tell Stelarc this patient has just given him a run for his money.
