In the end reliability is the key for sure, and the Russians seem to have nailed that with Soyuz.Others may claim to be cheaper, newer or more sophisticated but i know id rather be on top of a reliable rocket rather than a cheap one ;)

Don't think they use the Proton M for ISS stuff, Soyuz handles it. But GLONASS might be in trouble for a little while for sure.
