My experience wasn’t nearly to this degree, but there was definitely some of this. My parents were overwhelmed with a bunch of young children, but as the parents of adults, they are pretty great. But occasionally (ok, often) it’s hard to just forgive the past.

Umm, I live in the US of A, and that's my life. So, I know I would either fare terribly, or amazingly in another country. I think Europe would like me.
Why is it unfair? If everyone takes a step back and allows basic human rights to be eroded on account that those rights are protected by religion, what are we really left with?
