Who gives a fuck who she supports? Biden needs to keep his hands off women. Period. It doesn’t matter why she brought it up.

Right? And a “poor decision” is something you do once, like “oh, I really shouldn’t have had that much to drink last night” or “I really shouldn’t have slept with that weird guy.” If you are repeatedly choosing to do something for two years, that’s kinda just who you are as a person.
I totally agree. She does not have clean hands in this.
I found Sarah’s interviews, especially toward the end, to be a lot of plausible deniability.
I’m sure these comments will be filled with only the most enlightened thoughts, advancing humankind with each golden syllable.
“...the larger culture that values a man’s perceived good intentions over a woman’s actual discomfort.” —This, yes!! A thousand times yes! This is what has us not react when someone comes in too close for an “affectionate” gesture. Or worse, when the gesture is not affectionate. We second guess ourselves, asking what…
If you have not listened to the CBC’s Uncover podcast that covers NXIVM, do so ASAP.
“Ohh, whoopsie! I threatened my slave with deportation in order to continue enslaving her!” I hope they give her the full 20.
Yeah, it’s a bit like if there was an entire industry of creating food, just so that you could then photograph it looking appetizing. But then you include all kinds of inedible gunk in order to increase the color contrast, or bulk the meal up. And you get so used to doing that, that you then can’t actually create a…
Also, Michael Costello’s impression of Michael Kors.
“Where’s Andre???”
What’s been great about Christian is that (if I recall correctly) he hated the “real woman” challenge and working with anyone over a size 0 on his season. His evolution has not only been a shrewd business move, but also very endearing. That willingness to change and embrace every size just warms my plus-size heart.
As a fat woman I know people are going to judge me no matter what I wear so I’ve just started to wear what I want. Bold prints are awesome.
This should come as no surprise to anyone in or out of the fashion biz.
I don’t understand why she can’t empathize, it’s not like she’s got a model body herself.
It’s like these designers have no idea that fashion isn’t just a single piece walking down the runway on a human clothes hanger. Real people will be wearing the clothes you designs (or knock off variations of them). The fact that so many of these designers still have no idea how to design FOR bodies is embarrassing.
It’s one thing to have anxiety about not having experience designing for plus-sized women, it’s another thing entirely to have an openly contemptuous attitude about it. Nadine needed to go home based on her attitude alone.
I remember a long time ago several of the designers actually making their models cry because they were plus sized. If you can’t dress a plus size woman, then you shouldn’t be a designer- that’s on you. Also, Siriano is the best thing to come out of Project Runway- (ok aside from Tin Gunn and Santinos hilarious…
I’m plus size AND fun size (5'1") and prefer to dress in all black - think vaguely rectangular Wednesday Addams. That said, when I do contemplate a foray into print and color, the variety I’m offered is cheetah or zebra in every conceivable color combination. It’s like camouflage if you’re going on safari in some Lisa…
I was *so* glad they called her out for what she was saying about her model on the runway. She had absolutely no respect for her model and the way she spoke to/about her made me want to throw things.
