@Odin: Apple tends to get ahead of itself. While the need for USB and SD ports will likely be a thing of the past in the not so distant future, I agree with you that they still are needed. Apple knows this, and likely believes it has enough power to cause this change to occur sooner, rather then later.

It pains me to see that plastic cover that ships with new gadgets. If I were a gadget manufacturer I would never include those.

The "Obstruction Angle" is not entirely fair to the trackpad. On a laptop, the keyboard is not angled. lifting the bottom end of the keyboard would easily resolve this issue.

I have used this method of air conditioning before, it works quite well. One thing to consider though is that it produces a fair amount of humidity, so do not expect a crisp coolness that modern AC units provide.
