? Peggy is a criminal.

He put all the pieces of the crime together in that "trance." I agree that there is an echo of the UFO, just as there was with the balloon, but it's explainable, just as the balloon kind of explains the UFO.

Ohahnzee's sinisterness has a kind of cold innocence about it that Malvo's didn't, though, because Ohahnzee is carrying out someone else's orders. It's like he's not really involved.

A general rule about "c" is that it sounds like "s" before an "e" and (often) an "i", but like a "k" the rest of the time. English language rules have tons of exceptions, though.

"Fear and Trembling" is the big Christian existentialism essay, right? And Camus was … a big existentialist.

I don't think Peggy's all that cunning after all. They got caught by both Hahnzee and Lou before the mechanics even started working on the car. I think it's more possible that Ed snaps and throws her under the bus at this point.

Does Cookie Monster believe that any Democrats did anything nefarious?

I get a little tired of the sniping at Reagan in these threads and, more so, on The Americans threads. All politicians are liars and crooks to a certain extent, not just the capitalist Republican ones.

MackDAD I got the impression in your comment you were saying not that Reagan represents "bad" but that he represents an easy, reassuring "good/bad dichotomy"? I hope that's not where the show is going but I think you could be right.

I think Hahnzee kills Peggy (and maybe Ed) in some terribly gruesome, inhuman way. Peggy came across as more human in this episode than she has before, to me. She was not cool at all when Lou turned up at the house; she handled that like a total amateur. And she looked sincerely scared.

Is the Waffle Hut some kind of locus or something? Rye sees something and gets hit by Peggy. Betsy and her daughter see the flash of light from the balloon and then find the murder weapon. Hahnzee sees a flash of light (reflection of some kind?) and then goes into some kind of meditation where he solves the whole

She has a big recurring part on The Good Wife. (Or had; I haven't watched for a couple of seasons).

Oh good Lord, it isn't antisemitic and I was talking about in contrast to Christ. Of course the Old Testament God was about love and justice. And mercy. But he did not become human and take our sins upon himself.

They were finally getting unclunky with the pacing this season. This episode was a throwback.

You may be in the minority but you're not alone.

It told me nothing about Morgan that I didn't already know. Because Lennie James was acting it out already.

I disagree. I think the show has gone out of its way to show us that Carol has become pretty warped.

She takes a grim satisfaction in killing. She is using despair as a twisted kind of security blanket and every time the need to kill someone arises it confirms her despair. She is dangerous.

For sure. I was just thinking about why everyone in the town seems so indebted to him.
