I posted this in another comment, but I had a similar issue with my Tieks until I started putting these bad boys in them at night, and applying leather food liberally on a regular basis. This seems to stretch the leather just enough, and keep them clean and nice looking.

I’ve had two pairs of Tieks in patent nude and ballerina pink. They are quite comfortable, can be worn on very long walks, can easily be ‘dressed up’, and attract a lot of compliments. That being said, they aren’t any more impervious to wear and tear and odor than other, less-expensive flats.
