@MagImpalor is a god damn spy.: Dear Troll, you're obviously have no intention to contribute positively to Gizmodo. Not sure why you came over in the first place. Allow me to make sure that you don't troll and bait over here ever again.
@The Lab: This article has nothing to do with obesity. Furthermore, your comment was pretty damn insensitive. Disemvoweled.
@dparks: Your first comment was full of troll. Pleas review [gizmodo.com]
Happy Birthday Giz!
@enderx: Those aren't my convictions. I simply stated what sequence of events would most likely occur.
1) Kotick issues "heartfelt" apology
@DancingCorpse: Don't be so quick to judge. It's to no one's benefit to create a new account on this site under the alias of an Xfire dev and "lie" about which company has acquired Xfire. There's nothing to gain by doing that. A press release should be out within the next couple of days anyway.
@artaxs: Thank you Artaxs. I'm sorry to hear about job. I'm also sorry to hear about the jobs of the entire Xfire crew. You guys were an outstanding team, I can only hope this has caught the eyes of some quality employers. I wish you and the rest of the team the very best!
@artaxs: Can we get a Press Release of this please?
VIACOM/MTV ALREADY OWNED XFIRE SINCE 2006. READ THE POST.
Any word on who the new owners will be? I remember the Viacom acquisition from years ago. But jeez, in order for the entire dev team to be leaving this must be bad. Were they laid off? Or did they leave by choice cause the new company is evil?
@Danny Sullivan: Just keep it civil. I know this is a heated argument.
@dub08: Personal attacks are not tolerated. Please refrain from doing so in the future. Disemvoweled
@Emperor_was_a_jerk: Disemvoweled. Snark is ok, but not if you're gonna be a complete jerk. Please take a moment to review [gizmodo.com]
@Mike467: Well said.
@Ricky Wilson: Rapidshare is undergoing some policy changes that are very limited. Most people are looking for alternatives.
@reuthermonkey: Usenet is not a secret, and you can be sure that the "authorities" know about it. I mean hell, go to any illegal sharing site such as a Warez affiliate and the first few links in a search are Usenet links. I mean, Warez is the lowest of the low but it is what most newbies get started with. Rest assured…
Thank you for this article Adam. I always knew about Usenet, saw links online, but never really looked into it. I probably won't use it now either, but this post was very informative on what Usenet is and how it works.
