“We forgot that we can sell much of our pre-owned stock of games between now and the holiday shopping season. So we’ll resume the program once we have more money and fewer used games to rent.”

It’s fine that you have to grind for nearly two days to unlock Luke Skywalker, the dude who Star Wars is largely about?

I’m a lifelong Houston sports fan, and I legitimately never thought I’d see the day the Astros would win a World Series. I thought the 2005 sweep by the White Sox would be the pinnacle of achievement for this team.

At least the Astros did it immediately and not 5 goddamn years after the fact. I can kinda sorta forgive mainstream sports networks if they want to make that easy connection for a year. The Katrina thing with the Saints was baffling and dumb.

God damn this is so awesome. As much as sports inherently don’t matter, this whole playoffs have taught me that they do. This team has been such a fucking ray of light to this city. Just because the media cycle has moved on, there are tons of Houstonians dealing with absolute bullshit because of Harvey and this has

Man, shut the fuck up.

We here in Houston are perfectly happy with the thought of this World Championship keeping us feeling better about our situation for the next few years. I’m sorry our one bright spot this year bugs you so much.

We still have 2005. Most entertaining sweep ever, and we still have the longest WS game.

Wow the fact that you had to explain that kind of just blew my mind but I guess at almost 50 years, I’m kind of the exception these days w/ video games.

I remember first seeing it in the arcade, it was mind blowing.

In my area (south of Boston) I think I only found one once, it was like finding a unicorn.

Believe it or not, Dragon’s Lair was released in 1983. I know it sounds crazy nowadays, but it actually ran on an internal LaserDisc system, which is why the “graphics” looked so advanced. You were basically just watching a LaserDisc movie.

I got my ps4 specifically for this remake, i’d only had a 360. Would love this for Demon Souls too. Only Soulsbourne I haven’t played.

Except Uncharted 2 was overrated bullet sponge trash :D

Good point.

Remakes are awesome because they let people (like me!) experience the games all over again without having to buy the equipment necessary to pick it up. For instance, my old roomie had a PS3 but I never got the chance to play any of the Arkham or Bioshock games; the PS4 remakes let me do just that.

Pretty sure that’s the point and why we see him rot as a display of progression. There’s a reason that the triumphant music stops when that final blow is landed and a requiem starts. Shadow of the Colossus starts out about a game of hanging on, but really it’s a game about letting go. Which is why it’s the last thing

That’s kinda the point of the game. You’re supposed to feel bad about killing the Colossi and everything leading up to it. It was meta WAY before Bioshock was a twinkling in Ken Levine’s eye

Great game! Giles though? He needs to run a few miles after the game. This guy reminds me of Lidge. Lidge’s career disappeared after Pujols took him deep in ‘05 during the NLCS.

So something that kinda bugs me about Mr. Robot is like, literally nobody is a geek, or a weeb, or any of the sort. They’re all stylish punk kids with a cyberpunk edge, with some slobbery thrown in. The sole exceptions are Romeo, who fits the older hacker persona well with his side-growing hobby, and Mobely, with him
