Literally had this debate with myself yesterday. I’m torn. I have little kids and I’m excited af about Christmas and I just WANT TO DO IT ALL NOW. Seems a bit dramatic though, especially since I’m hosting Thanksgiving. If I knew only we would see it I’d just do it. I’m also annoyed the farm where I get my tree isn’t… Read more
Ughhhh. It’s such a nightmare, I’ve lived or worked in the city for almost 20 years now and this is the worst I’ve ever seen it. I’m worried about what’s going to happen to everyone once winter hits.
If she walks half a block away she can see the dozens of people I see every morning shooting up in broad daylight, seems like that might be a better use of her time if she’s actually interested in helping. I didn’t realize she was coming and now I’m shocked they hadn’t cleared everyone out by the time I drove by this… Read more
I hate recommending extra baby gear BUT these were helpful for us in a similar stage with both our kids - https://www.amazon.com/NumNum-Pre-Spoon-GOOtensils-Dual-Stage-Set/dp/B01GEOZEVU/ref=sr_1_10?keywords=baby+feeding+utensils&qid=1571684653&sr=8-10 Read more
To this day I grimace when I hear people say “get some sleep” to pregnant people, as if sleep is cumulative. I was so sick of hearing that shit while I was pregnant that I was close to fighting people over it. (I was, clearly, not the happiest pregnant lady!)
I was terrified of this, it was fine. During both my pregnancies I basically just piled the pillows so that I was like 75% on my stomach and that was good enough. Back to full stomach sleeping now and I will say, after both, it was a very good day when I realized I could do it without any pillows.
Triples, easily! Something I’ve learned from home ownership is that there’s no such thing as cheap (unless your home was given to you and you happen to be the handiest person on the planet.) It’s a good investment in many places (particularly in the NE where I am) but it is hard work. Buying an old home is a never… Read more
That’s the other thing, my boys are complete opposites. Older one is calm, empathetic, sensitive and the baby is a god damn maniac who has more tantrums in a day than his older brother has in his entire life. At the same time, the oldest is very into bugs and trucks and “going fast” and the baby wants to read books,… Read more
This makes me so sad!
One of the first things I said after finding out our first was a boy was “oh God, he better be super into Legos!”
I always assumed I’d be a girl mom, I don’t really know why but it’s just what I always saw in my head. I am now the proud parent of two little boys, 3 1/2 and 1 1/2 and my only goal here is to raise kind, helpful citizens. It’s been hard for me to wrap my head around what my future might look like (sports and dirt… Read more
“Most of the world gets their news from Twitter.” Twitter says they have about 125 million daily users, 1.5% of the population is “most of the world” now?
I also get it in theory, I just can’t with the raisins.
