One US judge actually said that upskirt photos couldn't be prohibited because there was no reasonable expectation of privacy. If you can't have a reasonable expectation of privacy under your clothing, where can you?

“I’m not homophobic, but—”

If a game gives you options for romance and then undoes your choices without giving you any control, that’s upsetting even disregarding the change of sexual orientation. As someone else pointed out, it would have been very upsetting if my Commander Shepard suddenly left Liara and started romancing Ashley. Same with

The issue is, as presented—even in the article, here—that the relationship both comes out of nowhere (as it still happens even though the author plainly stated they rebuked the NPC partner all throughout the game) and then also that it goes on to not explain any real reason for the child existing.

I mean, I’m a straight, white man and I totally see the problem with this. Maybe it’s because I enjoy diversity in stories so I have been playing as Kassandra, because she’s a fucking badass and her voice actor is so much better than Alexios, and I’ve been playing her as a lesbian. Not because it’s “hot” or anything,

and it sucks cause you know they’d never dare force a same-sex pairing on a straight gamer. Would’ve been shot down from the start.... but fuck the gays amiright.

You wouldn’t see the issue because as you so aptly put it, you’re a straight white male. What would you know about what a woman goes through? Much less a gay woman. This was a woman of color, who was comfortable with her own sexuality. Why did Ubisoft have to force her to have a child?

Maybe it’s because I’m a straight, white male, but I don’t entirely see the problem with this.

That hasn’t been true for awhile now. Layla can enter anyone’s memories including people she’s not related to. And she got DNA for Kassandra/Alexios for their spear, not from a descendant.

It’s a roleplaying game so what are you even talking about?

“A strange DLC. The only way to stay true to your character is not to play.”

I wish there was a condition that stopped me from being able to read men’s comments on mainstream news websites.

As a current Focus ST owner, i feel cheated at the dilution of the ST brand that I was once proud to own.

Yay! Another ST that’s not an ST . . .

There was a brief, shining moment-the Mulally years-during which Ford seemed like it lost its hatred of America and wanted us to have good stuff too.

Not featured: Facebook’s investigation team letting me know that actual sexually inappropriate posts that I’ve flagged on facebook (including a cartoon diagram of intercourse, right in my feed) are perfectly fine and won’t be removed.

We always had a presence in gaming. Cishets didn’t much care to notice us, though, until recently (when our existence in gaming spaces was politicized by the neo-fascists as fuel for their culture wars).

There’s enough LGBT inclusion in gaming to have an exhibition? I’m surprised.
