For a man who openly admired William Castle for his persona and showmanship(see his book "Shock Value)", John Waters must have been absolutely delighted at this cameo.

Team Joan is mostly pathos for someone who has pretty much lost her marbles. Jessica Lange totally kills it. Bette is more sympathetic by nature. Susan Sarandon is playing it as a relatively sane person surrounded by crazy.
"Joan maneuvered herself to accept Anne Bancroft's Oscar, which she still hasn't laid eyes on…"
"And what is it that he pulled from his pants, it's a scale model of the Eiffel Tower!"
You win all Internets. Plus you made coffee shoot out of my nose. Thank goodness it was iced.
They already did that plotline with Miss Grundy!
"which doesn't quite makes sense since one of them has to be an "outsider", right ?"
This stuff writes itself. A testament to Adam Reed's characterization and the voice performers.
It would be two episodes and end in either an attempted murder or the killing of a small cute animal.
At least for the messy homicidal aftermath when Archie eventually breaks up with her in a hamfisted way. Archie is one of the most oblivious characters on TV.
It was definitely in the delivery and the fact it was harshly true.
Quite true. It makes for more fun watching.
"Has a mystery show ever had a stupider lead character?"
In all fairness that is pretty much what high school relationships are. A lot of projection, not a lot of real complications and tastes for things in people which look silly when one is more mature.
And to think several episodes ago, I would have figured Betty being the "broken wing type" seeking Veronica's stable support. Of course back then we thought Polly was a split personality and there was that wig.
The most merciless line from Cheryl was calling Jughead a hobo. It was true but soooo harsh.
At least there is far less broken glass with Archie. Half the scenes of Arrow Season 1 involved Ollie or a thug breaking windows in Laurel's home or office.
Well that is one way to make a rehabilitative reading of the season. I admire the creative angle of it.
That is very interesting. Never thought of it that way.
