I am a little disappointed by how conventional the bugs plot really is. A test for pesticides still seems to make more sense from a real world standpoint. Finding ways to protect wheat crops from bugs.

Gotta say, the biggest surprise was Jeremy Jordan. I never saw him in anything before Supergirl. So I was surprised by the fact that he has a really really good singing voice. IMO, best in show.

It helps that the movie is a remake of an all time off beat noir classic, "Out of the Past". (Kirk Douglas in his slimiest role of his career)
