There are certain points when I write fiction that I ask myself “is this clearly evil & cautionary plot device going to turn people away from or encourage people to build this dystopian McGuffin in real life?”, and I fear its usually the latter, so I shelve those stories as to not put out even more bad ideas into to

Yes, you missed the laughable part where Musk claimed to be a free speech absolutist.

So since this is just a whatabout, then, it doesn’t really carry value.

Well, the people who made the decision to hand it over to him were mostly thinking about their bank accounts. When a person offers you significantly more than your asset is worth (like 3x) and you’re not really optimistic of the long-term future of the asset anyway, you have to consider it.

She’s the person who first got hit with Musk’s new thin-skinned policy. That’s newsworthy. The ongoing saga, sure, less so, but you did click on the article.

The world will be a better place if this did happen (fingers crossed).

So trolling is ok as long as it is being done to someone you don’t like, check. Progressive people are sure up in arms against bullying and trolling when it is convenient for them or their causes. These are the hypocritical times that we live in.

It was obviously parody, it clearly said @katheygriffin.  Even people who stated clearly THIS IS PARODY was banned.

I think her decapitated head prank was in poor taste but I also don’t think it’s black and white. Kathy Griffin is not and never will be in a position powerful enough to threaten a sitting president - and power dynamics matter. If my kid tells me he’s going to hit me - I can tell him that’s not nice and laugh it off.

Yeah, bullshit. Griffin is a hacky washed up comedian, sure, but Musk is the world’s richest evil worker-abusing union-busting misinformation-spreading trolling piece of shit.

Ok Chad.

Who thinks Twitter is ok to begin with? It’s a garbage venting app. How boring does your life need to be, to put it on the internet or watch other peoples lives all day.

This is one of those times I’m sorry I only have one star to give.

Sounds like it’s more fun to get perma-banned on Twitter instead of quietly quitting it if you have plans to deactivate your account anyway.

Nice to see an example of all that free speech Elon just paid for.

Why do you quote studies with such an obviously small sample size as science?

16 cats is not a significant sample size.

Anyone who has ever been kept by a cat knows they bond quite deeply with their humans minions.

Hmm...did the speech of either the owner, or the stranger, include the cat’s name, or nicknames like Kitty, or Fuzzface, or other nicknames that a cat might recognize? Personally I would imagine that addressing my cat as Kitty, or Cat or Diz, from any human might just draw her curiosity. But I do think it’s likely

And, even those people were replaced in the last 500 years
