Please please please let this nonsense kill twitter and seriously dent Elon’s wealth.

I’ll never forget his infamous tweet during the last Obama election (before California votes had been counted so Obama was still behind in the popular vote - which he later won).

“My offer was based on Twitter’s SEC filing being accurate,” Musk wrote on May 17.

This saga reminds me a bit of when Trump actually became president, and it really seemed like he didn’t actually want the job.

On board

Having grown up during the 70's and 80's, this was always my plan. Why on earth would I want to survive a nuclear apocalypse?

If I heard a nuclear bomb went off somewhere on purpose, I’d jump in my car and drive to the nearest big city. I want to be vaporized. I don’t want to live in a Cormac McCarthy novel.

He’s bringing more attention to it.

To be fair, Trump would make this all about him.

It is not. What’s weird is that it has been so long since we had an achievement worthy of presidential announcement. But every sitting President eventually announces or shows off something that was done when they weren’t in office or in opposition to their party. 100% correct. This is about polling numbers and trying to raise popularity.

My main problem with CREATED images “based off” scientific measurements or one or one subset of wavelengths is that they’re presented as visual fact. They should always, ALWAYS, ALWAYS have a hard watermark of “enhanced” or “altered”.

Not weird for at least the last 5+ years.

Sounds like some lack of parenting.

My kids aren’t allowed social media. Period. Yes, there are ways to enforce that. I love that the parents don’t seem to think they are responsible in any way. What a world we live in.

You should point out to your friend that Musk was only an early investor in Tesla, which was in fact founded by two people not named Musk. He then used his majority share holdings to muscle his way into leadership, and at some point started calling himself the founder, to which the actual founder was notably upset

All you’d have to do is turn it on and it’d set fire to itself.

Musk is a grifter, an old style carnival barker who will promise the Moon, Mars and beyond to his cultlike followers when everyone else can see how he’s completely full of BS.

Agreed. Don’t separate it. Don’t ban it. Treat it like it’s normal and then, as time passes, it’ll become normalized. Women’s bodies are normal. Let them be normal.

I wish people would be honest about this discussion. It isn’t about morality, it’s about money. There is a lot of money to be made with streaming and those fueling the fire in arguments like this are the ones not getting the money. Our (U.S. at least) society has traditionally used morality as the framework for these
