I’m almost positive Thile was hand picked by Keillor. I know he guest hosted a few times towards the end of PHC before Keillor left.

There’s an episode of The West Wing where they help an eastern European country write a new constitution. The delegation says they want an American system with a powerful president and the constitutional scholar they brought in to help (played by Christopher Lloyd!) spends the rest of the episode trying to convince

For every legitimately cool, interesting detail that gets posted to r/MovieDetails there are at least 10 saying something stupid or obvious like “In Fellowship of the Ring, one of the fireworks looks like a tree!”

If I’m selling a house for $300,000 and someone makes an offer for $150,000, I’m going to tell them to fuck off. A good negotiating tactic would be, “How about we bump that 5% to 20%” and hope they maybe meet in the middle and give you 12%

I’m legitimately surprised there hasn’t been a remaster. It would probably sell well.

I haven’t seen this. Got a link?

They’re probably Catholics and Catholicism is a cult. They’re not real Christians.

I get where people are coming from worrying about salty gamers getting angry, but that is really not how 95% of the community of FFXIV acts. I’ve run through The Dancing Plague EX with about half a dozen different groups, each one wiping several times, and not once did anyone scream at someone or curse someone out for

Part of my high school soundtrack. This song still slaps.

The other half is zippers.

It remains to this day one of of only two Zelda games I have never finished. I didn’t mind the touch screen controls, but I hated the Temple of the Ocean King with a burning passion. Who could have possibly thought that was a good idea?

Zodiac Age didn’t have new content, but for the majority of the American audience it was a new enough experience with the upgraded license boards and new item placement.

That’s my concern too. Does remaster mean higher res textures, or is it more of a FFXII Zodiac Age style thing?

The mobile version isn’t really indicative of what the main series games are like. I’d say give New Leaf a shot. The beauty of Animal Crossing is how accessible it is. If you want to no-life it you can, but you can also spend 15 minutes a day on it and still feel like you’re doing something. There’s no stress involved

A path to Stadia or Steam? In the stream they mentioned that anyone who currently owns the game on battle.net will get to transfer to Steam for free when Shadowkeep comes out.

“Last Wish” in Destiny 2 was in I a similar place I think except that it took 30 hours to complete even on PC. Console players eventually got through it without Bungie having to tone down the difficulty. I’m sure these folks will too.

Never understand all the “Thanos was right bruuuhhh best villain ever” takes.

The Dark Knight Rises called, it wants its tagline back.

I played the modern format competitively up until last year, and they ALMOST never see play in top tier decks, with a few notable exceptions. There are a few that are ultra powerful but usually they’re too slow and expensive to be worth it outside of the sideboard.

Please don’t be that guy. You might think it’s funny, and you may even get a few cheers, but the majority of the theater is going to be thinking “Sit down and watch the movie, jackass.”
