On a positive note our neighbors panicked and bought a 50lbs bag of flour. They aren’t bakers, so they gave half to us! We’ve been cooking our heads off. thank you neighbors!!

Thank you for the compliment but to me it makes sense. I don’t have kids, I’m near the end of my career, I don’t have any medicinal allergies or sensitivities, my immune system is robust, and I’m female. Hopefully I get called on to be a tester - right now I’m just one name in a giant pool.

I feel for parents...how in the world do you pick a name for your kids. I can barely come up with good cat names. If I had kids to name, I’m sure they’d hate me for naming them  Blender or StarFire.

Thanks for bringing that up. I feel like labeling women as Karens turns all women (young and old) into scapegoats. While it seems that men exhibiting the same behaviors don’t get called out. Where are the derogatory Jims or Daves or Bobs? 

Life isn’t risk free. We all have to decide what level of risk we are willing to support and take responsibility for the consequences. It is inevitable that some people will get sick. I’d like it to be the minimum possible of course. But, I don’t waste my time worrying about other peoples’ decisions about the virus.

I like to imagine that McCain won against Bush - I’d like to think that the US would be in a very different place now. I signed up to be a vaccine tester so people like you won’t have to. Stay safe, I’ve got your back on this one. 

Even if they have a good candidate it will take months of testing and months to manufacture and distribute. Next year summer I’m thinking.
