I’m not dead yet.
I’m not dead yet.
That’s the frustrating part - it’s already done. Using it now gives cover for them to normalize it, and the rest of us have to change our behavior instead of those white supremacist fuckheads.
“Antifa” as a loose coalition of local anti-fascist activists and organizers has been around for a while (as per wikipedia: “Modern antifa politics can be traced to opposition to the infiltration of Britain’s punk scene by white power skinheads in the 1970s and 1980s, and the emergence of neo-Nazism in Germany… Read more
Actually this is the ideal solution.
I’m not alright with it, I’m actually really fucking mad since I used it all the time. Trying to eliminate it from my vocabulary of gestures has been infuriating, especially since I often used it to communicate in time-sensitive and loud work environments. Having to second guess myself, give a thumbs-up, and hope it… Read more
Bars/clubs (specifically for drinking, not including those that also provide food service) were open for like a week, then closed back down in response to trends in other states that opened bars/clubs earlier. They’re really cutting hairs on the risk differences between dine-in establishments and bars/clubs - still… Read more
I would point out that Polis’ preemptive bar reclosure last week was a really positive indicator that his office is continuing to treat this issue with the seriousness necessary. Seeing similar lack of adherence to the rules as in other states, closing the bars before the poor behavior of patrons (or inability of… Read more
For me, one of the true horrors of this entire tragedy is seeing what I would consider “smart,” “rational” people entirely ignore evidence out of laziness. Like, they don’t even engage with the information. I’m sure many of this would read that analysis and say “yeah, that makes a lot of sense.” ...and then continue… Read more
Way too late to edit, but this afternoon Tri-County voted 5-4 to make masks mandatory in all public spaces and business, although municipalities can opt-out (or some chose to just implement their own mandate earlier). As others have said, it frustratingly will still fall on businesses to enforce this on their… Read more
I’m under Tri-county health jurisdiction (same as Aurora) and there’s no mask requirements for the public or customers. Staff needs to wear masks (and contact tracing was required for the first several weeks of reopening but has since been downgraded to “recommended” although I sure as shit won’t tell you that at the… Read more
I hate that fox. Every day I go looking for his sketchy boat, and it’s always Kicks Leif or Savannah, which is like who even cares. At least Gulliver makes me laugh. He’s come to my island 3 times in as many months, and once brought all fakes like a jerk. I just don’t want my art wing to be an empty room anymore lol.
The fact that this wasn’t broadly mandated by late April-early May is still bonkers to me. My governor (Polis) has been extremely vocal about the need for people to wear masks for months, including multiple facebook posts daily with that messaging. And yet he still says the onus of refusing business to the maskless lie… Read more
Please continue to go forth and dispense justice, your work is truly invaluable right now. Hadn’t even occurred to me that that’s obviously a crime.
I think you hit the nail on the head. The disruption of data was figuratively enough rope for the campaign to hang themselves, and literally to look like stupid idiots in front of the whole country for the millionth time. Maybe on a slightly higher visibility level than usual.
I thought they were going with “Deplorables 2: Nazi Boogaloo”
No, of course not.
“Congratulations, you played yourself.”
