I’ll do you one better, why is James Holzhauer?
“Are you sure that’s a catch?”
Kobe: I need to tap into the mind of a fantastic method actor to hone my craft
To be fair, I did a decent dig through the #Raw on Twitter right after the show and there were a lot of those AEW comments. And I think that “AE-Dub” has officially replaced the “CM PUNK!” chant for the foreseeable future, which I think is a bit of a lateral move.
I agree that it may be a tad unfair to hold them to the same standard, but it is just confusing to me that the same audience is eating up stuff they would crap all over if there was the WWE logo in the corner of the TV screen.
See you say things like “they push the same guys” but between June 1998 and March 2002 (the golden years), the WWE Championship floated between Rock/Austin/Mankind/Angle/Taker/HHH/Jericho with a token Big Show run. From January 2016 to present, there’s only been one repeat champion and that’s AJ Styles. In that time…
AEW showed to me that they have a lot of potential. The in-arena production looked solid, maybe a half-to-full step behind WWE. But there was a noticeable drop off for backstage stuff which felt under produced and indie as hell. I liked Excalibur on commentary despite his slip ups; his excitement felt Mauro…
Everyone welcome Tony Romo to Deadspin!
I’d say Rey is 3rd after Santo/Mascaras. As for Dos Caras being on the Mount Rushmore, I get needing a heel up there, but I just have a hard time keeping Blue Demon off this Lucha Libre Mount Rushmore and I’ll be damned if Rey is coming off.
some of the best light heavyweights ever came through the promotion during those years, including Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio Jr., Dean Malenko, and Chris Jericho. Relative to the scene, none of those, bar maybe Jericho (who is also in AEW), have the sort of iconic status and name recognition that Kong does in joshi
Wait...the Marlins took the L *checks notes*...before the game? And won the actual game of baseball? This is confusing.
If he was a Mets player he would only successfully accomplish his task once or twice out of 10 tries.
What a remarkable run by Patrick Ewing. He hasn’t played in 17 years but he still managed to be the face of breaking Knicks fan’s hearts. Unparalleled consistency.
That’s a lot closer to Philip Rivers’ throwing motion to be honest.
Jeez, it’s almost as if McVay and Rams didn’t belong in the Super Bowl. Or something.
Leave Arya out of this. She’s a hero.
I was in a meeting and was streaming the game on my phone under the conference room table. When it went in I had to suppress the joy as much as possible and the resulting sound was a very odd wheezing like sound. My boss asked me if I was ok and I went “yep! All good.” One of my co-workers is also a soccer fan and I…
The devil tried to buy it, but Levy went and burned the devil’s small business to build a new stadium on the land.
