Well, this guy is friends with Trump, so... yep. I’m currently daydreaming of thousands of Americans calling the White House to volunteer to sit in on Presidential briefings, since you don’t have to be a politician or an expert to do it.

Thanks! I guess I was interpreting that wrong. I think a friend told me Benghazi has been more thoroughly investigated than every embassy attack during the W years, which... okay. That definitely makes me think this is about justice and nothing more.

I keep reading about 538 (and others) being wrong, but as far as I know all they said was that Hillary had a 70% or so chance of winning. That’s not the same as saying she was going to win, so how exactly were they wrong?

I’m so glad it’s not just in my head. I need this to be true! I didn’t know Trump had said he tweeted in the middle of the night because of insomnia, though. Come January, I’m sure he’ll be able to sleep like a baby.

The “one vote isn’t going to make a difference” mindset bothers me more and more as I get older. It would only make sense if you could predict the future. I think this election in particular made it very clear that that’s not a thing.

But hey, the good news is people are protesting! High schoolers, even! Here’s hoping…

You guys, did anyone else think Obama’s “I called him at 3:30 am, I think *smile*” was a reference to Trump tweeting at 3:30 am? Maybe I’m losing it. Maybe I’m grasping at straws but I want so badly to believe that Obama made fun of Trump one last time.

I saw earlier that almost 50% of people didn’t vote. I don’t know, maybe things look different inside the US, but speaking as a foreigner, this didn’t feel like an election anyone should sit out.

Oh, I know there are plenty of women sexist, which blows my mind, but the author said that the white women who voted for Trump want to maintain their privilege, and I don’t understand what they (think they) would have lost if Hillary had won.
