I am so. fucking. happy. these motherfuckers were convicted. I have been following this case, and despite all evidence against them, I really wasn't expecting this outcome.
Then I would have made a terrible professional athlete unless I could have played first base from my bed while crying and clutching a heating pad. 😄
When I was an athlete, I manipulated my period with birth control pills so I wouldn't have to deal with any of it. My doctor suggested it.
Fighting back was actually taught as a last case scenario at the training I attended. No one was encouraging children to go Red Dawn on active shooters.
I agree with you. I just went through ALICE training at my job, and it was part of the curriculum. It is just a way to fight back in a circumstance where people are pretty powerless, and it was by far not the only thing we learned.
