Had a friend that went to work for Tesla in their engineering dept back in 2010. He was a technician and was paid hourly. On average he logged 700 hours of OT each year. The engineer he worked for had a cot in his cubicle and basically lived at the facility during the week. There was another guy that had an RV in the…
There needs to be 4 of these on track for every F1 race going forward...
There’s been a Supercharger everywhere I have needed to go, so I don’t really have range anxiety. The car is also pretty accurate at projecting energy use.
What you’re describing sounds like something they used to do: “Police Work.”
It has the highest sanction in USSF, but It definitely is not the highest level. I’d bet Sac Republic would have their way with a team like San Jose...
So not a MLS fan?
Anyone worried about that police instruction?
I bought a used Tesla Model 3 to support my soccer watching habit.
The Probe was going to be the new Mustang.
This wasn’t the only thing that got a SHO motor.
Worth noting that “additional training” on this sort of stuff has been shown to be almost completely ineffective. Just the department spending more money on things that have no effect on public safety.
There’s a similar sign between Tucson and Phoenix on I-10. And they are indeed building a Buc-ee’s in Goodyear, AZ.
Acknowledged. I’d be interested in finding out more, as on the one hand Tesla has far fewer retail/repair outlets than Ford, but then Tesla also runs a retail energy distribution company (Superchargers) and also has an arm that sells household solar.
I know there might be some scale and supplier integration differences, but Ford produced 4.4M vehicles in 2023 with 177,000 employees. Tesla built 1.8M with 140,000 folks. It may be overly simplistic, but simple math yields that the Ford employee is about 2X more productive.
Harley pioneered this. For the longest time Vivid Black was the free color. Now it is gray. Everything else costs extra.
The most notable racing Valiant that comes to mind is Mopar Action’s One Lap Valiant. Sweet little car. It was a 340 though.
It’s interesting. I have cousin’s in both police and fire and they are some of the most bigoted and racist people I know. I finally had to stop inviting them over because the amount of N-words that started flowing when they drank was getting out of hand and I didn’t want my kids around that.
When you do it’ll seem cool. Then you’ll go to Europe and see how much cooler it is when there is a moderate level of competency behind it.
He’s not an engineer.
