The series starts with So Fresh, So Clean by OutKast and you have Come Down by Anderson . Paak in the next ep; honestly I really like the music choices they've thrown in during the season. It helps bring the overall tale to earth a little.

Large enemy factions is something you can call dibs on?

The defensive scramble is real

Keeping the bar low, huh

It's still relevant to what they're doing in film. Zack Snyder himself said in an interview that with BvS he was aiming for the kind of emotions he got from Watchmen, so

It's just weird to have a Justice League without a Green Lantern, but oh well. Maybe it's just sparing him two humiliations in a row

a “roughneck” who seems way too happy to spray people down with black crude

Why, they're preventing ninja shenanigans™ of course!

I was just thinking, if Marvel can reboot Spider-man 3 years after the last film, what was keeping DC from adding Green Lantern to this line-up?

DC comics are upbeat, but their films however have been doubling down on gritty and bleak for years now.

we owe these movies awe simply for existing

Pfft, they wish they were as cool as Megatron and Starscream

"undiscerning Nintendo boosters"

Oh, they'll find a way…

Sorry, I expanded on my one post about it in case you may have been open to giving it a fairer chance. My apologies.

I think it's just another way they're pulling from the Avengers method. All we know about the over arching villain Thanos is that he wants all the infinity stones, and that's been teased out over multiple films. Whether that method works for TV specificlaly I guess we'll see, but it hasn't been a problem for me so

Just sayin', there's elements of quality that transcend what you read of the plot. The direction is a lot tighter with some great actions scenes over the last season, the score less bombastic, the acting so much better - especially Chloe Bennet who's really come into her own. The structure is indeed pretty serialised,

Seeing as the Hand will feature majorly in The Defenders, I'd say they're saving the grand reveal there. There's still the matter of Elektra to resolve after all.

I'm sure LOST shed some people too, but that doesn't necessarily mean they were wrong to adhere to long form storytelling.
(Not that this show is on the level of LOST.)

Better than standing around on a poster and looking like you've dropped an irradiated deuce.
