Everyone knows that if you want to catch an Oscar, you need to change your bait every once in a while. This year they happen to be biting at pretentiousness instead of white guilt.

Oy, this is so sad. Baruch Dayan HaEmet.

Take care of yourself too, The Gaysian. And thanks for always posting the hotline numbers. I wish Jez included them in every relevant post.

aren't all of us with depression putting on that facade? Mines fallen down this week, but I'll probably pull it back together soon. My fucking fake face.

THANK YOU. After I finally watched Frozen a couple months ago, I was like, hold up a sec... how come Elsa gets all the attention, when this is clearly Anna's story?!? Elsa screws shit up and belts out the big song, but that's *it*. Anna is the everygal hero!

Also they always get the best song. Which is the one that's REALLY at play here.

Just when she thought that it was safe to come out of her ice castle and build a snowman with her cloyingly perky sister

Its about time we stop this crazy menace!

Same. We just had this conversation yesterday in German, about how concrete and logical German vocabulary is. Like my favorite German vocabulary word: die Antibabypille.

Oh my god I am STRONGLY IN FAVOR OF THIS MEME. MORE, PLS.

This story has everything: undercover reporters, molly, and members of an international terrorist organization.

I had mad anxiety when I saw this title, like "wait am I supposed to be tipping Jez writers too? Is it like 20% or like a flat $5 or what? it's bad enough trying to figure it out with the lady who does my eyebrows..."

I've sent tips in to Jez on a few occasions and, at least twice, have seen a post relating to that tip showing up on the site within a day or two. But I'm still gray as gray can be. So I kind of feel like what's in it for me?

I don't even want to do my own job. Why the hell would I do yours for free?

Inigo Montoya was played by an actor named Mandy.

That's my favorite.

I actually kind of hate that cool girl names are often appropriated from boys names. To me, it suggests that girls are cool insofar as they aspire to be like men. As pointed out by others, names never make the jump in reverse, from girls to boys. Because what guy would want people to think he was emulating a woman,

Yup, and of course the implication is that she's an overbearing shrew, rather than the spouse with, you know, the more demanding job.

Only interested if they're talking about republican politicians and their wives.

Oh I totally agree. There are no rules for this (or there really shouldn't be), it's completely dependent upon the couple.
