Not true. A few exist which do run. Here's one of the larger ones, but small ones also can run on combustion.
My LG G2 running 4.2 has the vast majority of these features already (including the especially novel ones, like tapping on the screen to turn it on), do not disturb/contact priority, and quick settings customization). It's nice that everyone gets these features now... but it's not groundbreaking stuff.
Maybe if I move closer to work my quality will get better.
