As a fan of The Leftovers I’ve been down with this since day 1, and the first “teaser” was great, but I do think some of the dialogue here is a bit...clunky?

Totally agree, and I loooooove the WoW team’s use of really vibrant colors (Jade Forest being a prime example for me). The base graphics themselves might not be great, but in terms of art directions and stuff I think they nail it

I generally tend to dislike stories that do a significant amount of build-up for a major confrontation, and then say, “but now, we’re gonna take a lengthy detour down this barely-tangentially-related road.” Shadowbringers, however, managed to do it in such a way that I wasn’t as bothered by it as I might’ve otherwise

I hate being a concern troll, and I hate having ANY negative thoughts about the game after finishing it and enjoying it so much, but it was legit so good that I was like “there’s just no way they can top this! This was amazing, and I can’t see how they can ever do something this good again!”

As someone who’s beaten the main story, all I’ll say is that it’s REALLY funny that you brought up Rapture.

Just wondering, is there a disconnect between what Japanese companies/government feels about drugs and scandal, and what the actual Japanese public thinks about drugs and scandals? Like do normal Japanese citizens also really negatively look on drug usage and scandalous behavior, or is it a case where the government

Well, the GCD gets faster for some classes, and for most classes the early levels ARE just painfully slow because you have so few abilities. A lot of classes get a bunch of OGCD abilities as they level up so you’re weaving or even double-weaving in between GCD abilities.

Hunts and beast tribe quests are what I do precisely because I really don’t find PotD/HoH all that fun or interesting, but I do think they’re probably less efficient overall than PotD/HoH. But for some reason I don’t really enjoy the SB zones/beast tribes as much; I still use the HW beast tribes and hunts to this day

The animations for each move aren’t special and unique. We already have footage of Sword and Shield and they’re nothing special compared to the 3DS games. It’s not this huge leap that makes it seem like “oh yeah I can see why this takes a lot of work.”

I mean, every single game besides Let’s Go Pikachu has had every past Pokemon in it. That’s the baseline.

It’s just a disappointing decision. Pokemon is literally the biggest entertainment franchise in all of media. Every entry sells millions of copies, many over 10 million copies. It’s not like GameFreak is spending dev time working on amazing graphics, or massive open worlds, or complex physics and interactions, or

Yeah I didn’t really notice that when watching the Direct but reading it, it’s pretty funny hahaha

Hoping they do a port of NMH1 and 2, don’t wanna have to pull out my Wii/PS3

I think so, a delay out of 2019 when there’s only 6 months left would be weird, when they just confirmed it was 2019

Fucking loved the fakeout

Because people like playing on the go? You kind of answered it yourself

Maybe a long-term goal is to replace consoles, but it’s pretty clear what the point is: the audience for this is potentially anyone with a laptop or a smartphone. How many people want to pay $400 for a dedicated console? Lots of people, but that’s still a limited audience. They want to target anyone who currently pays

9 episodes is just completely crazy. If we think that’s 1 episode a year (and that’s being VERY generous) that’s a minimum 9 years, which is longer than most console generations.

So that means Switch has 1, 4, and 5, correct? Did 2 or 3 get updates/remakes like 1 did?

Yeah we knew it was Fall 2019 when it was announced a while ago so when the trailer came up I was hoping for a more concrete release date...hopefully in the Direct today
