The makeup of the studios is pretty much the same regardless of whether it was 2d or 3d. The technical people don’t have anything to do with look or story. You are still dealing with a lot of the same directors from 2d. The 3d artists still come from a traditional art school background typically. Sure there was

As for the new blood idea, let’s compare Little Mermaid to Moana both by Ron and John. As Hayden says, Ariel changes but the societies stay separate and unchanged. In Moana the society changes and so does the entire environment. Two movies that really couldn’t be more different by the same directors for the same

I think he almost got it right. CG does make things easier but that just means the studios can do more stuff and so they do. What really makes CG special is that you can set a bunch of people working on characters, environment, and props and even if the story completely changes you don’t have to throw away all that

Oh please, Samurai Jack was a masterpiece. It cannot stand as a representation of 80s-90s 2D Saturday morning animation which was mostly dreck.

Except Disney still uses a lot of the same directors from previous ages.

Yeah I know. I rewatched it yesterday and I could have sworn I replied to my comment last night admitting my error.

    I am disappoint

Having just rewatched this, I was totally wrong. They do say one gender and that the gender is male.

If you haven’t watched the last 3 seasons of DS9, you really can’t even comment. Except for the final season those are the best seasons. My god you haven’t even gotten to the greatest Trek episode ever yet, In the Pale Moonlight.

“The music also sounded like it came from a royalty-free Star Trek soundalike collection.”

“and Bortus (Peter Macon), who we’re told is a member of an all-male alien species. (Call it the soft bigotry of low expectations, but it was a relief that Mercer opted instead for a lame gag about leaving toilet seats up, rather than the gay-panic joke mandatory to any of MacFarlane’s other shows.)”

I think the aesthetic is like ST:TNG but I would argue that the campiness is more like ST:TOS if ST:TOS was self aware.

TNG’s second season had a writer’s strike. So there’s that.

Well his XO is his ex-wife so not all conflicts are external.

The first season of TNG is rough especially Farpoint.

Considering he is a huge Trek fan, him getting bored seems unlikely.

And the jello guy and weird botanist were playing off the, everyone is bipedal trope, without making it a big deal.

The final season of ST:ENT had some decent episodes but it was mostly drek.

    Because Bojack is unwatchable tripe.

ST Discovery comes out on the 23rd
