Yup. And Apple isn’t going to sell something that people only replace once every decade.

I never really understood why everyone thought Apple was going to release a TV. There have been comments from Jobs and Cook about the living room being an area of interest, but that doesn’t necessarily mean a TV. It makes no sense for them to make a TV. There’s really nothing they can do with a TV that they can’t do

Glad you know how to correct someone without throwing out a random insult.

Glass wouldn’t be good for things like hiking, camping, biking, or other outdoor activities. Steel bottles tend to be a lot better at not making the water taste weird than plastic ones. Just clean them regularly and you’re good.

I’ve used a ton of Windows-based laptops and none of them has matched the experience you get with a Macbook. The battery life, the trackpad, the build quality, the reliability, the customer support, etc - no other laptop comes close. You can argue about operating systems - that’s all personal preference. I’ve got a perfectly respectable computer.

Having an Apple ID isn’t really a big deal. It’s not like having a Google, Yahoo or Microsoft account where you need to set up an email with their server. I use my Gmail address as my Apple ID. It’s no different than creating an account on Facebook or Twitter or any other site.

You’re giving away a lot more information with Hangouts than you ever would with iMessage. Google just recently confirmed they don’t use end-to-end encryption in Hangouts.

I think it mostly has to do with the way Google’s and Apple’s ecosystems are structured. One of the biggest downfalls of Google’s ecosystem, in my opinion, is the fact that it’s almost all browser-based. While that is great for cross-platform use, it also has its cons.
