Reply from lock screen is one. It also doesn’t have a desktop app. Can’t send SMS messages to non-smartphones or non-Hangouts users from a device that isn’t cellular such as a wifi-only tablet. Doesn’t seamlessly switch between SMS and MMS automatically like iMessage does. It’s just not as smooth. Can’t view all

Do you have SMS turned on in your Mac as well? Or is it just sending iMessages?

Yeah, I use Hangouts a lot for friends with Android phones, and it just doesn’t compare with iMessage.

Not right now, at least not what I can find. You have to go into each thread to see photos from that thread. But being able to see every threads photos would be a cool thing to add.

If there’s anything Apple should make cross platform, it’s iMessage.

One of the best things they added to iMessage recently is the ability to quickly see all photos within a conversation instead of having to scroll though the conversation to find each photo. It’s also a great way to free up storage since you can quickly delete specific photos from conversations so your texts don’t use

We had a ton of bomb threats too, and as a result, we weren’t allowed to go to our lockers throughout the day, so we had to carry every one of our books with us all day. We were allowed backpacks, but they had to be clear so teachers could see if there were any weapons or bombs in them.

Don’t forget one of these:

Same here. It has a bulky, rounded body just like the first iPhone. Makes me excited to see what it’s going to look like in 3-4 years.

If it really does have “pro” features and isn’t just a larger iPad, I’ll sell my Air 2 and buy it. A pressure sensitive display and proper stylus would be awesome.

That excuse would make sense if they also banned you from reading books or magazines, eating, sleeping or any other activity during take-off. But the fact they limited it to just electronics shows that the “distraction” excuse is also bullshit. Hell, they even allowed you to listen to Walkmans and portable CD players

Depends on how you define better. If you could’t even fit a full movie on one, video fidelity doesn’t matter. It’s like putting great quality tires on a car that can’t drive.

There are no “normal” jeans. There’s at least a half dozen different fits other than skinny. I wear 34 as well. You’re wearing casual jeans there which usually have larger/deeper pockets. And like I said, I wear dressier jeans which tend to have smaller pockets. My casual jeans that I wear on weekends have larger

Why do people think there are only two sizes of jeans, or two sizes of pockets? Jeans don’t come in skinny and non-skinny. They come in skinny, loose, relaxed, boot, straight, etc, etc. And the pocket size all depends on the brand. I wear dressier jeans for work, which are usually in the relaxed - straight range.

“The Golden Watch route, which supplies the watch, is still a $4,200 affair, a cool 4k more than most would every consider paying for a smartwatch. But hey, maybe your kids can at least go to college this way.”

This is my experience. My bed frame came with a cheap, crappy mattress so instead of spending a ton of money on a new mattress, I bought a foam topper. It was great for about a year and a half, then I started getting back pain at night. Good mattresses are expensive, but the alternative is worse.

This.

It extends way beyond that. That kind of mentality goes all the way back to the old mafia days when police pretty much had to become soldiers. That’s when more powerful guns and body armor started coming into play. And it just escalated from there. Anti-terror training after 9/11 added fuel to the fire, but that’s not

This. Cops need to be trained differently. They’re trained to be walking weapons rather than peace keepers. There was a video released recently of a few Swedish cops who were on vacation in NYC. They broke up a fight on a subway, without weapons and without hurting anyone. They held them there until NYC police

That’s the theory, but we’ll have to wait to see if it works in practice. I feel like things we generally need desktops for - productivity software, gaming, content creation, etc - will never be usable on phones, no matter how powerful they get. By the time phones get the specs that current laptops have, those things
