Sometimes I wonder what evil corporation would be forcing mediocre Star Wars and MCU movies on our kids if Disney had gone under in the early to mid 80s. Would we still have gotten The Bachelor? Would ESPN still exist? I sound too much time on alternate American business ‘what ifs.’

I know Tennant, Tate, and Cribbins are all actors, but there was, to me, real joy in the scene where all three unite.

I can’t help but wonder if “Jimbo” was inspired by Marvin the robot. I mean, just look at him, even though he didn’t speak, don’t you just know he had an inner monolog complaining about being left behind to do the dirty work.

But talking about the No-Things themselves... my absolute favorite type of sci-fi/horror is the inductive reasoning monster encounter, where our heroes come face to face with a dangerous predator that is unlike anything else they’ve faced before, but through observation they are able to slowly piece together how/why

I often find the not always great special effects to be a charming part of Doctor Who, some are well polished and others almost silly, if everything were well polished it would probably not feel as fun.

“Wild Blue Yonder” reveals itself to, in many ways, feel like a spiritual successor to 2008's “Midnight,”

Just an absolutely incredible episode. Best use of a conceptually frightening alien since Flatline, and probably the second best thing that RTD has written next to Midnight. Fitting that this episode is really a combination of those two.

My only niggling complaint was the dodgy CGI (which has always been a staple of

Someone had posted this within an hour of the episode airing. Just sharing.

Lol, I’m weirdly proud of the fact that I called it last week when I said it would just be a great monster-of-the-week episode of Dr. Who.

Farewell, old soldier.

Did I cry when I saw him at the end of the episode? If it appeared that I did, it must have been mavity pulling water from my eyes.

Oh man, that’s totally awesome. We need a Fred Hembeck (or Sergio Aragonés) cameo.

Hilariously, Joss Whedon (who wrote the line) blames Halle Berry’s delivery.

Did I get a little teary eyed when I saw him? You’re damn right I did!

I didn’t realize he had filmed any scenes for the special (I thought he had passed before filming), so what a treat it was to see him at the end of the episode. Wilf is one of the absolute best characters to come out of Nu Who, and it was such a joy to have one final moment with him. RIP Bernard Cribbins.

That was such a moving tribute and I gasped when he showed up. Hadn’t followed the set leaks so I genuninely thought they had written him off in last week’s episode. Glad they’re not going to “kill” him next week.

The obligatory and appropriate response

Deadpool: “Do you know what happens to a toad when it’s struck by lightning? Me neither. What a dumb fucking line”

Sounds like it, and various rumors point to others showing up (like Jennifer Garner’s Elektra).

So...3 is definitely Deadpool Kills the Fox Universe, right?
