I feel like that might be the point... but that might jsut be our shared perspective.

Ugh. I just wanted Spider-Man in the MCU for a while. For them to let the character unfold and breathe a little.

We’re not so far off from each other generally, it seems.

I geuss part of my thinking here that I realize I haven’t articulated is the question of whether such a a suit really is of advantage to Spider-Man (aside form breathing in space or something). Scenes in Homecoming make the case that it ain’t necessarily so.

No, aside from the producers having said that the Flash suit is something Barry made himself (implausible enough) it’s on display in his hipster lair when Bruce breaks in.

Totally- but what concerns me is how they justify that in the fiction without damaging the character and world building they’ve already done.

Thank you. That’s encouraging to hear every now and again when the internet is generally so.... shouty.

Spider-Man doesn’t need to become an Avenger, which unlike in the first movie is now a real organization that must have official membership, in order to help save the world. Or to work with others in general.

Oh, I’m not arguing that Spidey shouldn’t be there - of course he should. But I thought he was committing to more self-sufficiency.

Except that it’s already established that Batman didn’t make these suits.

THANK you. I just wrote a comment on how similar these all are. Yeah, they’re showing different cultures and backgrounds, but they’re very obviously the same designers’ expression of those cultures and backgrounds.

These do look better without the color grading. And I like that it looks like Batman’s armor just straps over his regular suit- that’s a good approach.

Yeah, poor Pete’s always got the circumstances against him. And yeah, it’s not that he wouldn’t like to be part of the popular crowd... but it took a very long time for that to click at all in-universe.

To me, that’s what makes you your own person: Stark’s not “send one of his crew into battle”, Peter is going into battle himself. That means on his own terms. Spider-Man has never been anybody’s soldier, and that freewheeling independent spirit has always been core to the character.

True. But while he loves a team-up, Spider-Man has almost always been primarily a solo operator, and I think that that isolation is acore part of the character. Ultimately, if he doesn’t cut the apron strings he’ll never never develop into the hero he wants to be (and is in the comics), and I thought Homecoming did

Who is an elf. So you’re right- not an alien. Sindar.

The suit exaggerated his build...but only a little!

All the texture lines look like scarring from being given 80 lashes.

Future flash is better all around except for one thing... more leather? Really?

I think you can buy the whole thing on iTunes, which means you can probably also get it on Amazon Prime.
