I think it's unfair to say the creative staff were running on fumes, Voyager was an incredibly creative show when it came to story concepts. But it did lack strong leadership especially since Piller and Ryan were apparently butting heads over what they wanted the show to be and then we had Brannon Braga's idea of

ACTUALLY Neelix's episodes showcase the strongest acting in the whole series. When he's the centre of an episode, Neelix is very watchable due to Ethan Phillip's serious skills. The episode where he confronts the man responsible for inventing the weapon that killed his entire family "Jetrel", the episode where he is

Compared to most sci-fi on TV today, Voyager is fucking wonderful.

You are of course right. If you take a step back and look at Voyager as a whole it certainly had huge problems - the lack of care for continuity or crafting characters fully was unforgivable. Nonetheless, the show mostly succeeded on an "episodic" level whereby I got great enjoyment from the stories they crafted each

"Barge of the Dead" - the episode where B'Ellana briefly dies and finds herself headed to Klingon hell with her mother because of the dishonor she has caused her is triple A grade trek - when Voyager was good, it was balls amazing.

Totally the same here, that is why I find talking about Voyager even more compelling than DS9 which is clearly the superior show. With Voyager you can nit pick/bash and praise/defend in equal measure. There WAS a lot good in the show on an episodic level but as a whole there was so so much wrong.

How is season 4 a horror show? Many would agree season 4 was Voyager's strongest season, Seven's arrival brought a freshness to the show and we got some seri-serialization again.

Fox reality chief Mike Darnell has just left Fox.

It's quite amazing how they're still hanging in there with the quality.

I find Arya and her storyline this season boring as hell.

I don't even mind if it plods a little bit as long as its following the characters I'm interested in…and since tonight was focused on the Lannisters, Tyrells, Khaleesi, Mellisandre I'm happy as Larry.
If there was a whole episode about Theon, Arya, Bran and the bandits it would definitely be a struggle.

I'd be happy with 10 seasons. I see no reason the quality would dip.

We can assume that Moriarty is smart enough to perfect various accents, Dormer is not.

I fucking loved this episode, one of the most rewarding season finales I've seen in a while. That scene with Moriarty and Holmes in the hospital was wonderful, the whole concept of it being Watson who figured out that Moriarty loved him leading to her arrest was delicious.

why?

Loved it!

I liked it!

Wow, "Sean Saves the World" looks unbelievably awful. Welcome to the Family looks like it has potential in my opinion if they lay off the family feud stuff and just go all out wacky.
All a comedy needs, regardless of it's concept, is some witty concepts and some good writers in the writer's room.

How did Seinfeld's concept sound horrible? Some friends living in New York, pretty standard stuff.

Get my gang-related on the schedule damnit
