I don’t really have much sympathy for the C40 owner. The second guy yes, because most people in poor financial situations would probably not opt for the additional payoff coverage or GAP coverages for auto insurance. But the C40 owner could have researched this first, none of the issues are unknown, as I’m currently

The budget was up to the sponsor, might be a good place to launder money (still).

Back in the day there wasn’t spending caps. Tobacoo money was everywhere and there were qualifying only cars with spares at the tracks for them to jump into if they got wrecked.  I’m probably conflating a few eras but the first answer is, no there were no spending caps.

Which is partly why these rules came into affect.  No one liked them when they did those egregious moves back then and we don’t like it now.

All the drivers in F1 are a cut above, save for a select few. Max is clearly a problem.

I think all you can write off is the depreciation. You can’t expense a capital investment. You depreciate it according to IRS guidelines, but I expect a loss from a sale can be written of, less of course the already claimed depreciation. I would talk my CPA about that however.

I have a 2018 Tesla S that fortunately I got used. It has been wonderful, with its first repair in 67K miles - a stuck trunk latch. But I won’t buy another, I would go for a Cadillac Lyriq. Tesla dropped the price on the Plaid model by $40,000 just like they will have dropped the price on the Cybertruck by $20,000

Yup, I’m waiting for Verstappen to turn right into Norris to eliminate him as the points race gets tighter.

Don’t hate the player, hate the game. Max is cleverly, and frustratingly exploiting a rule (guideline) which was originally created to rein him in (back when he was typically the attacker, not the defender).

Guess you never witnessed Aryton Senna before? If F1, race officials, and race stewards didn’t punish him before, then of course he’s going to keep doing it. Place the blame where it belongs, on F1.

1984?

They’ve done it before.

People actually look forward to going to the Lexus dealership like it’s a special day. I know I would pay a lot more to not have Toyota service department visits.

“Why would the best, most effective value proposition to distribute vehicles to customers not be your first choice?” Devlin asked Auto News. “And why would you reject an existing distribution and sales system that already exists?”

Fuck the dealers. But will they get so pissy that they refuse to service them?

That Jimny is awesome, but isn’t in any way, shape, or form worth $11k.

10 cents. 5 cents.

Apparently the other 5 cents comes from using the earnify app... yes, you have to sign up for another service.

Until you click the Amazon PRIME tab and it says it’s $0.10
