Stonking? Are we all doing the Alex Goy thing now?

Here in metro DC, there’s a plumbing company that drives trucks around with a big “trompe l’oeil” photo on the back that makes it look like the owner of the company is standing in the back of the truck and waving at you out the open rear door. Wonder what will happen when a Tesla comes up behind one of those.

I think the commenter meant “not Rolex” because Rolex sponsors endurance racing (Daytona is the best example).

Maybe his/her point was that this was staged and professionally filmed, not sure. It could be, with that video quality.

I came here to read about cars, not presidents. No, wait, that didn’t come out right.

+1 for “Jalponik”

OK, hang on. I’m of Indian origin too. Two words: Narendra Modi. Are you kidding me? The guy incited bloody riots that actually resulted in deaths.

Really? Wow. I wouldn’t have thought anything would be left at all, but I don’t know much about deep-sea marine life and what they eat.

But he already has singled out “normal” citizens. What would you say Khizr Khan is?

You are trying to apply reason to an argument with Trump? Good luck with that, my friend.

Where in the mid Atlantic? I’m in metro DC: my local track is Summit Point.

Many (most?) Porsches are custom ordered. You can get a base stripper model by ordering. You’ll have to wait a few months for delivery, but that’s part of the fun.

First...nice car!

I own a Cayman GTS with 6-speed manual. At track days, I’m absolutely certain that I’m losing time on laps due to manual shifting. A PDK would certainly be faster. But man and woman cannot live by bread and speed alone. The driver involvement is fun, and I wanted a car that would be fun.

Do they? I’m a Porsche person and I like it a lot. My own Porsche is yellow. At our club track days, there are tons of varied colors: red, a couple of other yellows, green, etc.

And highly unusually for Porsche, these are all zero-cost options.

The front wheels.

Wouldn’t be surprised to learn someone else paid for the car. Mom, dad, etc.

But she isn’t learning any lesson. The dealer is stuck with a bunch of repairs that she won’t pay for.

That’s true - but the person I responded to said they didn’t know why anyone would want another person’s trophy. I can still kinda see why someone would buy it, although I wouldn’t.
