You do recall correctly! The replayed the series on the radio when I was a kid (after I had read the books) and I remember listening to it under the bedcovers late at night and being thrown for a complete loop when the radio series went in a completely different direction from what I expected.

I like the movie as well. One thing I think it does much better than the previous adaptations is add character to Trillian, even in the books she’s not that fleshed out.
Lady Thor was one of the best things to happen at Marvel in the last ten years, not least because if someone complained about it you knew you could ignore everything else they said. Excited that the same convenience is coming to movies!

That’s a great point, and I’m wondering if the areas he was a bit more ruthless with (the Other Four Horsemen, Newt and Anathema’s slow burn) were areas that he had written himself.
I loved this episode, but it did feel a little rushed. It might have worked a little better as two episodes (one focused around Niles flashbacks and concluding with the team coming back together, and then the final confrontation in Danny).
