Agreed, but you missed my point. The original commenter (and my own comment) aren’t saying it does. The commenter described it as an opportunity to defer deportation. His whole point was that it won’t necessarily allow you to become a citizen but that it does allow for the chance to get your shit in order and submit

Megyn is complicit in furthering our own wars in the Middle East and supporting civil rights violations on American soil. I can’t wait until history looks back on her actions 50 years from now. Although arguably her greatest crime against humanity may still be her dancing.

Or because of terrorism, human error, faulty equipment, meteor showers, extreme weather events (see Houston chemical plant explosions from the flood), or a host of other unanticipated events.

But domino theory WAS wrong. We pulled out of vietnam and the whole world didnt become communist. Was our world intervention the reason the USSR collapsed? If anything, russia participating in its own version of Vietnam (Afghanistan) escalated its downfall.

But the concept of “domino theory” was essentially propoganda? In that it was used to induce strong emotions to defend an ideology? Because “Hanoi Jane” is just participation in an alternate propoganda.

If I recall correctly from high school, a great deal of people had difficulty detecting Swift’s sarcasm at that point in time.

You need more stars. There has never been a more accurate statement. Touché!

Um, isn’t that exactly what he said? A way to let people stay while they get their paperwork in order? It isn’t providing a path to citizenship but allows them to avoid deportation presumably for enough time to have a realistic chance for applying and receiving citizenship.

I get why people “grow” due to disk compression.

So if Trump told him to lie, would he be obligated to do so? Maybe misspelling his name was a technical way to follow commands but also signal that something is “off” with his report?

But is he currently an admiral? Don’t all members of the armed forces ultimately report to the commander in chief? His silence may be him following orders.

If he’s an admiral, does that mean he is obligated to follow orders of the commander in chief?

Not saying I personally agree with this state of mind, but yes to a degree. If my house burned down, I think it’s reasonable to sue the owner of the house that started the fire. If this happened to be a tenet, it’s still the homeowners responsibility. If tenets are making meth in a rental home, the owner may not be

This feels like a physics problem. How do we know that rulers are consistent in space?

True. But the Vegas killer had an arsenal. He needed to use the maintenance elevator to get all his stuff to the room. People might think twice if they know their room will be checked or that suspicious behavior may need to be reported.

Sure there is the negative press but I imagine lawsuits are also on their mind. I think they probably learned something from the whole alligator fiasco.

If someone assembles an arsenal in a hotel room to wage mass murder against hotel patrons, I thinj it’s reasonable for the victims to sue the hotel. If multiple guests died in a fire set by a hotel patron, I believe the hotel would be liable for not taking preventative measures. And it seems like a good business

This is a business, they own the rooms, they aren’t invading private homes. They are being preemptive to avoid potential lawsuits....maybe they wouldn’t have to have this policy if we had stricter gun laws. But until that day, it makes sense to take measures like this.

But do we want to combat these views effectively? Anger and lack of compassion toward holders of these views only pushes them further into their beliefs.

I agree completely. We have to have compassion for the other side, it’s what’s effective at changing people’s hateful views.
