Seems to be only young people... What us older people value most in a career
I worked in a shop that was really pretty good about compensation and work/life balance, but I was forever butting heads with my director over a particular phrase in our mission statement or values declaration or whatever it was: “bias toward action.” I took that to mean, “If you see something wrong, take the…
Yep! He seems to have more brand loyalty than I’d have guessed.
THEN WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU REPORTING THIS AS NEWS?! God I can’t wait for none of the mainstream media to have a seat at the table when Trump gets in office.
Obviously the way to prevent this is to stand by the vehicle while it’s running.
Is there any kind of bell-curve effect on setting the thermostat, where if the temperature is set too far away from your desired ‘occupied’ temperature at night, the constant running of your heater to catch up ends up being less efficient? I’ve always thought that going from 50 to 70 probably uses more energy than…
Looks like this guy is in Ontario, Canada. Thought extreme cold kills most vegetable seeds, a common phrase on seed packets is to plant after the last chance of frost? Don’t understand if the plants sprout in February or March how even a closed container wouldn’t freeze and kill the seedlings. I could see it working…
Gee, the one unifying theme in all these was a dislike and mistrust of Hillary. Something much of the left agrees with. Someone remind me why the DNC pretty much anointed her as the nominee again?

So its not an actual text that messes up your phone but an attachment you have to open yourself. Fuck you gizmodo.
Everyone I talked to while researching this (which wasn’t nearly as many people as I’d like, but still a good indicator!) said more or less the same thing. The use of deadly force is only justified if lives are being threatened.
A deadly threat is a deadly threat, and the robber could just as likely decided to shoot you in the face just for kicks.
Not in South Florida. You’re likely to be shot after you’ve given up everything the robber wanted. It’s not a gamble I would take living down here.
There is absolutely no guarantee that the robber would have shot and killed anyone if they just complied and handed over whatever he asked for, and it’s speculative both ways.
Howdy! Fellow gun enthusiast/owner here.
Unfortunately he is probably going to lose his job for breaking the rules, even though it was self defense. Yes he was a good guy with a gun, but they are banned according to Ubers rules. You think they are gonna enforce the rules on a bad guy with a gun? That person would be going to jail so it would be a pointless…
I completely disagree.
Not to mention, let’s keep in mind that the spill was 176,000 gallons... or roughly one quarter of an Olympic sized swimming pool (660,000 gallons). Yeah, not good - but also a relatively minor and temporary environmental problem.
