Well, it is a superhero comic so science takes the back seat but if we want a rationale for it: he uses that form so to able to manipulate and move about easily in human infrastructure.

It's common in a lot of fiction to make one's creation bipedal. (Perhaps as a proof of concept?) Other bipedal artificial autonomous sentients in the Marvel Universe where it had human (Terran) creators were the original Human Torch (Jim Hammond), Machine Man, Jacosta, Dragon Man, Him (Adam Warlock), Machinesmith,

IM3 had a lot of problems (was I really supposed to believe Pepper was dead?), but it was, at minimum, a star better than IM2, I'd say.

First trailers want to grab you forcefully. Some people, like you and I, are more resistant to blatant attempts like that. You're right second trailers do tend to focus on more character moments. However, this trailer did show several impactful moments. Notice the scene where Banner and the rest of the avengers are

Are you implying that Loki, the villain responsible for bringing the original team together, is not "an actual villain from the AVENGERS rogues gallery?" He is the original Avengers villain.

I pity you (and Gamergate).

In a movie trying to find the chemistry between 4 (6? 8?) Avengers characters, I thought it wise to avoid spending brain cells on a "new" villain. Aside from planning to be caught, Loki was fairly shallow as a villain, but he provided a focal point to unify on.

You are absolutely right ... you are a cranky asshole.

Ok, well, you said "I'm not excited to see it anymore". If you weren't excited before, why would you expect to be now?

The original Avengers trailer gave me goosebumps too, but it was because that was the first time we'd ever seen all those superheroes team up on the movie screen. It was unprecedented.

So what you're saying is we're getting a romance arc?

Yes, but only because a single trailer affected you THAT much. You went from "excited" to "not excited" over a single trailer? Relax. Trailers are basically just commercials. Just because you don't like Lucky the Leprechaun doesn't mean Lucky Charms aren't good.

i like my superheroes fighting.

Hulkbuster armor is fine and all but, the main thing I'm slavering over is Ultron.

This is the "The Empire Strikes Back" stage of the whole Avengers/Thanos arc, so I expect it to be darker. "The Ultron Strikes Back?"

When the ancient Greeks went to a play festival and watched a tragedy, they already knew the ending; tragedies were based on well-known myths. The dramatic irony is part of what made the play a tragedy. The audience watched with fascination as the characters stumbled along making bad decisions that the audience knew

I enjoy some prequels. I loved X-Men: First Class, and thought it was better than the original trilogy. I thoroughly enjoyed Monsters University, while accepting that it wasn't as good as the original. I thought Caprica, once it got going, was fantastic.

Chalk it up to a gas-leak zombie invasion.

Absolutely. I prefer to pretend the movie doesn't actually exist. Along with Scrubs Season 9 and Community Season 4. They just never happened.
