I’d add KAUAN’s Ice Fleet soundtrack for their RPG of the same name. Explore a horror-filled abandoned Russian cargo ship with atmospheric metal (?) playing.

Okay everybody! Let’s roll out the same Star Wars opinions we’ve been having for the last five years! I know, I know, you just packed them away. But did you really think you were done with them? There’s always an article about Star Wars somewhere.
Watched with my kids and they enjoyed it well enough. Not to an Andy-like degree.
“Girlfriend” by Matthew Sweet had Anime in it. I was never sure if it was specifically for the video or just repurposed clips.
That’s an interesting point. Seeing him making sacrifices or dealing with the actual repercussions of his “flyboy” attitude while being thrust into a leadership role he isn’t prepared for. It would’ve given him much more.
My personal favorite is “Turtle Power” by Partners in Crime which basically rapped the entire plot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.
Same, when it came out in 2007 I was not tuned into pop culture I guess because it didn’t register in me, despite being a long time Simpsons fan. Of course I also checked out Post Season 10 or so. When I did finally get around to watching it, I thought it was excellent. A real return to form. Sadly the great movie did…
Personally I give it to The Monster Squad also. Mostly because my best friend and I would watch that one over and over again as kids. (Discovered on VHS at the local video store.) The Squad felt more like us, a couple of geeky pre-teens.
He could be the evil cleric from the first book. (Verminaard?)
True, I think Mr. Bricken redeems the statement by saying “paraded in...pop culture.” Which as far as I remember has never really portrayed metal heads that way.
Yes. It’s like Badminton crossed with tennis
Juicy Fruit is gonna move ya!
There was also something about the Table serving too. Back then I don’t know if I ever had Pizza Hutt at home, but sitting in the restaurant, and getting a hot pan pizza was great.
There was also a Chloe Grace Moretz movie in 2020, Shadow in the Cloud, that used Hounds of Love over the credits.
I’m just peeved that GLOW also used this song a few years ago and no one noticed then. And I’m peeved that GLOW was pandemically cancelled.
When I was younger this was the only Forgotten Realms book I read. (I was a Dragonlance guy) I liked it fine then as an undiscriminating young teen. All the characters seemed cool enough for me. When I reread it years later as a discriminating adult I definitely saw all the “dei ex machinis” in it. It was egregious.
I think it was in Romancing the Stone, Kathleen Turner is stuck in high heels so Michael Douglas chops off the heels with his machete. Simple solution.
And the Frank Darabont script is better.
I pretty much enjoy just about anything that Bloc Party releases, with the exception of Hymns which is mostly boring. After giving this one a few plays already I find that I am really enjoying it.
In the header picture? That’s onion. She’s a hot dog.
