The fact that Casey was lauded while Nate Parker (a Black man) was shoved aside this year smacks of white privilege. Same goes for Woody Allen, Mel Gibson and Roman Polanski vs Bill Cosby. I hate all of them but the double standard is fucking ridiculous

I was wondering if I was the only one that thought this was a really shit comment to make.

I don’t understand this logic. I loved Bad Brains back in the day. Zero fucks did I give for them being a black punk band.

I would never try to state that “white people” were responsible for Jazz, that would be ludicrous.

Goodness, both fucking Affleck’s with oscars. To be a mediocre white man in America really is something after all. Fuck the oscars for fucking giving best picture to La La Land.

I used to live in this neighborhood — it’s super diverse and liberal (rainbow-flags-on-churches liberal). Washington University is nearby. As someone who grew up in the Midwest, I hate these kinds of generalizations. Most metropolitan areas, even in red states, are pretty blue.

Abe Simpson may have been on to something.
