I think you’ve sidestepped a very simple answer - no one likes to see their icons shilling for something as base and ephemeral as a political campaign. Heroes are meant to last, and this dulls the shine.

Depending on how it’s designed, you would be bypassing its primary and default mode of operation (see above.) You could also shift an automatic directly into 1, then 2, then 3 - IMO, and by my definition, that doesn’t make it a manual.

There’s other disturbing details, such as the dealership misrepresenting the miles on the ‘Vette after it was returned (they listed 7,813, when it was actually over 7,820).

And now you know... the rest of the story.

I suppose the rest of the decision comes down to whether you’d rather drive a car with the worst visibility on the market, or instead put up with a bunch of Cars & Coffee jokes at every track day you go to.

The swap is a 6-speed, which was paired with the V6 in the Accord. The 4-cylinders only got the 5-speed for manual.

You keep calling this a key. I don’t see a key. This is a fob, or if you like, a dongle.

In fact, the IIHS recommends parents to get a bigger and heavier car over a newer and smaller car for the same price. It conducted some crash tests using a smaller car and a larger car. The crash test dummy in the smaller car was more likely to sustain injuries and suffer from trauma to the head.

I find this stuff funnier when it’s wrapped in dry sounding engineering-speak, especially if you can look the speaker in the eye (or imagine the look on their face) and pretty much know that they mean exactly this.
