Twitter could probably win a Nobel Peace Prize if they simply deleted his account.

Awesome!

That panel is responsible for four of my favorite pieces of entertainment this year, so yeah, I'll be watching this.

Ahhhh gotcha. It's a good listen, especially (surprise, surprise) the third act stuff, but your description fits it well. It lacks the epic epicness of TFA. Part of that is because Giacchino didn't overdo the OT nods, and part is probably because he wrote the whole thing in a month, but it was closer to functional

I'm on vacation which means not a ton of pop culture, but a whole lot of reading.

I looe Giacchino, liked the way that he reused the first couple of notes of some classic themes in his new ones/utilized some classic Star Wars themes, and the score grew on me when I listened to it on its own. That said, there's John Williams, then there's an unfathomably big gap, and then there's everybody else.

Very true. Mathematics aside, this year has been a trash heap.

Year ain't over yet.

I'm gonna pick up Catalyst when I get home. I just finished Bloodline the day before Christmas (horrible yet oddly appropriate timing to read a Leia book) and it had a lot of political manuevering in it as well. It was a bit overwritten in plates, but it was a fun read.

As big of icons as Bowie and Prince are, I am hard pressed to think of someone who can compete with the level of Fisher/Ford/Hamill. That's the holy trinity right there, even if all of them had completely retired in 1983.

I honestly think this one hurts the most. Having a few days to prepare doesn't soften the blow. I'm just sad. RIP.

How Was Your Pop Culture Christmas Weekend?

Ahhhhhh gotcha. Whew. In that case I found your Jon Lovitz joke quite amusing!

I was actually just thinking that we are kind of a cult earlier today, and I'm cool with that.

HIEROGLYLPH!

I was strongly considering starting him but he was questionable and I was going to be without internet when his game started, so I couldn't risk him not playing. Whoopsie.

The Cape will be back.

It's wild how these people actually believe these things happen. I've got an example too. At my company thanksgiving lunch, one guy said he was thankful that he works for a company that allows him to practice his faith because there aren't a lot of places where you can do that these days. Unless this was his way of

Merry happy Gussie!
