Krypton has to be dead man walking.
As you said “it’s... not... really... good.”and it probably isn’t cheap.

I can understand this. My wife doesn’t like it much. For me it’s just now getting really compelling. I’m sure they lost too many viewers early on and it must cost a fortune to produce. Maybe the producers should have renegotiated the rights with SyFy.
Yes. Logan is one of the genre movies that is transcendent in the maturity of its themes and execution. It is flat out a great movie.
A lot of people wondered what was up with that and I google from time to time but the truth doesn’t seem to be out there. It doesn’t look like the actor took off to have a better career unless the web series How to Buy a Baby is considered a better career.
I can only guess that Kevin Bacon costs too much for SyFy.
Back in the glory days they did recaps of most every genre show the day after it aired. Lots of really good discussion from both the staff and the readers. But that cost too much and they went to an outrage model of getting clicks. It’s really disappointing they went that direction.
Last gasped words realizing he’s dying and has killed all his friends “I got chicken”. Pan to bloody KFC bucket.
It’s very very hard to keep a series fresh. Probably the hardest thing there is in serial television. That’s where the real talent shines. I don’t think SyFy can pay for that kind of writing talent.
Callow, callous privileged young woman acts very much as a teenager in disrespecting a mentally ill person. io9 celebrates.
You guys wouldn’t be celebrating this if Tony or Bruce put Shuri in her place. How about you stand up for treating all people with respect and courtesy.
I like Shuri and this is perfectly in…
I wonder is Superstition is next.
Watched it all, figured by episode 3 it was dead man walking. Not sure there was a strong enough show runner because as you said the scripts were a mess. I couldn’t pick up a strong enough central theme or narrative.
I’m still not sure how those pods related to the ghosts. The slow pace caused my attention to wander.
Sad…
Losing the core team a piece at a team was killing the cohesiveness of the story. Still not sure what was up with 1 being written off but then we lost 4 to his empire which I liked but thought at some point he should have ended up back on the ship and then we lose 6(maybe/probably) at series end.
That’s a big core…
I enjoyed Blood Drive too, especially Colin Cunningham but I think it’s shtick couldn’t wear well for a 2nd season. If I recall correctly it opened to pretty good numbers then nose dived. I’m not surprised because even though they tried to pastiche/parody/lampoon different grindhouse genres is was closer to a one…
I think 12 Monkeys will be looked at as the beginning of SyFy returning to good scripted tv. It’s going to have a final season, I’d like more, but it has had a pretty good run.
Incorporated not being renewed was a crime. Probably too close to home for corporate powers to allow it to remain on the air.
Agree. I thought the one high point was the last scene where they were leaving town. I thought the kid leaving the town and now allied with the ghosts would have made a 100x more interesting 2nd season with the chaos they’d unleash on Seattle or wherever.
However I get why they cancelled it. It was a mess for most of…
No surprise. Up until the very last scene I thought the entire run was screaming “Cancel me”. However I thought with him heading to the contiguous states allied with the ghosts was an interesting idea. If they’d gotten there sooner maybe it would have been more compelling.
Legends of DGAF!!
I’m super cynical but that story is like a dagger through my heart. I also cried.
“The Evan of 1983 was skinny, gawky, and awkward as all hell, “
Yet! Not a part of the Arrowverse yet!
