A EFI system for my 1979 Chevy pickup. I decided the 21st century wasn’t all bad for old trucks. It was a fair bit of money but the improvements in starting, driving and probably better fuel economy made it worthwhile for me.

My running total to maintain 5 BMW’s over the last 8 years or so it at about $10k in parts, I do all the labor. Most expensive single part was all new springs and struts for my E91 at about $1250.

I’m the weirdo that likes this color. It’s a little different than the black, white, & silver that every other car is without being too crazy and putting off, what seems to be, the majority of buyers. But still, bring on the crazy colors too.

As Clarkson said:

Hot take, anything over 18" is too much.

This car was tastefully done...

I’m honestly surprised that with the rise in concern for microplastics—and that tires appear to be a major source of them—hasn’t lead to calls for improvements on how we contain them from roads, or reduce them from being generated in the first place. I fully support more EV’s, but the fact they wear out tires faster

I did not think Floridians replaced tires until they were so worn they no longer held air.

Correct answer, lock thread.

Toyota/Lexus body on frame SUV. One of mine has 350,000, the other is at 200,000 and i have zero concerns about it making it to 250,000. Land Cruiser, GX, 4Runner, LX, etc. If its a model made in Japan, you can count on it going the distance. Tundra, Tacoma, sequoia and other American/Mexican made models come in second

Being able to get parts to keep the vehicle on the road...you are exactly right.

The problem with it isn’t that it won’t last 250k miles. The question is if it will still be yours in 250k miles.

My 2011 F-150 just turned over 292,000 miles so I think I’d stay on that train.

“Street takeover mode engaged.”

Why give your first ten trucks those same flawed tires?

Check out “War Factories” documentary on YouTube, a lot of what you mention is included.  That said I’m 100% with you that this would be a great idea!

A movie about rum runners modding cars during prohibition. Fictional characters, but real cars, real mods, and hints and real things that happened.

Farm Simulator: Hot Pursuit

The next version of Farm Simulator is gonna be way more intense.
