Has to be seeing the Special Edition Trilogy in theaters with my father. We have a fractured relationship, but those viewings with him were really special - and I am grateful for that.

This is really for diehard fans of the books. I can’t see the general public really caring much for this especially after the atrocity that was the final (or final two,) season(s).
What a JILF.
Rude.
This would be really cool.
I really enjoyed this writeup and just wanted to say that.
Counterpoint: this is one of the most delightful, much less bearable, articles I’ve read on this site in a long time. Sorry it’s not the incoherent nerd vomit you’re probably accustomed to.
Germain’s articles are very hard to read. Does Gizmodo have an editor?
I had to turn off episode 3 halfway through. It’s just unbearable. It’s sad to see Oscar Isaac be screwed by Disney two big projects in a row.
There’s nothing wrong or emasculating about being bi - or gay, or pansexual, or polysexual, etc. You twat.
Exactly. I grew up watching Batman Returns on repeat from the age of three and I fucking loved it. Kids can handle complex stories.
But Disney Star Wars can’t be upsetting or sad! It needs to be endlessly hopeful and whitewashed. This is the way.
Disney is afraid of taking risks and will continue to water down its stories so they’re the least challenging or divisive - at the cost of the overall quality of the storytelling itself.
Honestly it sounds more interesting than what we’ll likely get. I was surprised (but maybe shouldn’t have been,) by the levity/brightness of the trailer. I’m afraid Disney has to neuter and remove any existing edge to their stories. “Too bleak” in Disney terms probably translates to a “somewhat adult and mature story.”
It was more of a slog and mess than it was fun, by far. It’s embarrassing how bad this series was when it had so much potential.
Yeeea…it was um, okay. I guess. Some of the action looked cool. But very little of Boba’s scenes had any real impact. He was kind of awkward in movement, especially compared to Din. This very much felt like a setup for season 2, but I’m not sure anyone is clamoring to see more of this. Overall this has been a tepid,…
It is still awful. I tried rewatching it with an open mind late last year and it was somehow even worse than the first viewing. Truly an expensive turd.
What the FUUUUUUCK.
Just don’t fucking watch it then.
Mte! Fuck that.
