they’re really not that hard of an act to follow. Sure a handful of the performances (Stewart, McKellen, Jackman) are a very hard act to follow, but those movies are overrated at best, (have you revisited them recently?) and a fucking mess at worst.  There are bits and scenes of good movies in there somewhere but…

Empire starts off as a ridiculous over the top fun show, and quickly gets bogged down in it’s own bullshit, none of which it does particularly well.  Taraji was by far the best thing on it.

yeah one of my favorite things on the show was just the office hangout rapport between Olyphant and Searcy, and needless to say, outside of that I never need anything from Searcy ever again.
